HelicaseHelio and I were always sitting on the stairs, chatting about the lamina and occasionally making snide remarks about ribosomes. There wasn't much for us to do. Our job was to simply be, and let the RNA scribble down the letters on our foreheads when they came around every once in a while. Helio was a G, I was a C. It wasn't exactly fulfilling, I suppose. There wasn't much to be filled. So to pass the time, we talked.
"You ever wonder?" Helio asked.
"About what?"
"About...well...what's out there." Helio and I were rooted to the stairs, quite happily, but it was awkward to move in. He kind of twisted in the general direction of the closest pore. "Out in the cytoplasm."
"I haven't," I admitted. "What's there to wonder about?"

Saw this somewhere, thought it looked fun (actually, it's more like I am beyond bored; I'm trapped at school 'til 9:30 with absolutely nothing to do).

One book you're currently reading: Bleak House by Charles Dickens

One book that changed your life: the Harry Potter series (cheating, yes, I know, but I honestly owe this book series my love of reading. If my mother hadn't decided to shove the first book at me in first grade, I don't think I would have ended up with the passion for reading that so defines me today.)

One book you'd want on a deserted island: Ermmmmm.... I honestly can't decide. All of them. XD

One book you've read more than once: Fire Bringer, by David Clement Davies.

One book you've never been able to finish: A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens (I don't know why; I've made it through most of his other books!)

One book that made you laugh: Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Saw There, by Lewis Carroll.

One book that made you cry: A Monster Calls, by Patrick Ness.

One book you keep rereading: The entire Harry Potter series (cheating again -shush, I know). I've read them all a total of eight times now, and counting!

One book you've been meaning to read: The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green.

One book you believe everyone should read: The His Dark Materials trilogy, by Phillip Pullman. (I seem to be unable to pull a single book out of my hat.)

I'll begin this by telling you that I am a teenage girl, currently attending high school, and a proud Canadian. I am a generally cheerful, upbeat person, though I am prone to being sarcastic. I've been called a 'Grammar Nazi' and a 'bookworm' (though I myself prefer the terms 'bibliophile' and 'avid reader'). Reading is as essential to me as the air I breathe -without it, I'd die by way of asphyxiation. XD Writing, drawing, and watching BBC Sherlock are my other three major past-times, followed by swimming and violin-playing.

My favourite movie of all time would have to be Lion King; I never fail to shed a tear (or ten) when Mufasa dies. :'C And, my favourite TV program (as could probably be deduced from my Favourites, as well as the fact that I mentioned it above) would have to be BBC Sherlock, hands-down. It is an amazing adaptation of the original stories by Arthur Conan Doyle (all of which I have read at least thrice). The characterization is spot-on, the acting is superb, the writing amazing, the cinematography -EVERYTHING. I could rave about this show for the remainder of my life, but all I'm going to say is: watch it. Seriously. (It also happens that I am completely and totally one-hundred-percent in love with Sherlock Holmes. XD)

Aaaaand, that's pretty much all I have to say for now.
